Green Key Eco-Quality Label

Green Key is a leading international standard of excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation of the tourism industry.

The Green Key was established by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an international non-governmental organization whose mission is to promote environmental awareness worldwide. The national coordinator of the program in Greece is the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature.

In order to be awarded with the Green Key eco-label, a tourism establishment must comply with a defined set of mandatory and optional criteria. These criteria focus on the property's environmental management practices, as well as on promoting environmental awareness among guests, staff, suppliers, business partners, and the local community.
